At Dental & Dermal, we offer Chinese massage based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), meridian therapy, acupressure and therapeutic techniques including Guasha, hot stones and cupping.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic system of healthcare that has been refined over thousands of years. At its core is the concept of qi - the body's vital energy - which flows through a network of meridians. When qi becomes blocked or imbalanced, symptoms such as pain, tension, fatigue and digestive issues can arise. Our TCM-based treatments work to restore this balance through targeted manual therapy.
At Dental & Dermal, our TCM treatments draw on meridian theory, acupressure, Guasha, cupping and aromatic oils to address both physical and emotional wellbeing. Each session is tailored to your specific needs and concerns, whether you seek relief from chronic tension, improved circulation or simply a moment of deep relaxation.
Our practitioner, Chenxiao Li, brings a lifelong foundation in traditional Chinese medicine from her upbringing and medical training in China. This background informs every treatment - combining precise technique with an understanding of the body as an interconnected whole.
We offer a range of face, neck, body and full-body treatments, each designed to stimulate the body's natural healing response and promote lasting balance.

What is Guasha and does it hurt?
Guasha is a traditional technique where a smooth-edged tool is pressed and stroked along the skin to stimulate circulation and release tension. It may cause temporary redness or light bruising, but most patients find it relieving rather than painful.
How often should I come for treatment?
For acute tension or stress, a single session can be very effective. For chronic conditions, we typically recommend weekly or fortnightly sessions over a course of 4–6 weeks.
Can I combine Chinese medicine treatments with other services at the clinic?
Absolutely. Many of our patients combine TCM sessions with dermal or dental treatments. We can help you plan a schedule that works for you.
Is Chinese massage suitable during pregnancy?
Please inform us if you are pregnant or suspect you may be. Certain techniques and pressure points are adjusted or avoided during pregnancy for safety.
What should I wear to the appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Depending on the treatment area, you may be asked to undress partially - draping is always provided for your comfort.
